An overdose of Makatussin Comp. cough syrup can cause a brain disease (known as toxic leukoencephalopathy).

Composition makatussin comp

Active ingredients:  5 ml contains;

Active ingredients: 10 mg dihydrocodeine hydrochloride, 15 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride.

Auxiliary substances:

• Sodium benzoate (E211),
• citric acid,
• neohesperidin dihydrochalcone,
• sucrose,
• cherry flavouring,
• elderberry concentrate,
• 70% sorbitol solution (non-crystallising),
• purified water.

5 ml contain approximately 4 g of carbohydrates (approximately 0.33 of a bread unit).
